SANTA ROSA — The Elsie Allen Lobos scored four unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning and held on to beat the Lower Lake Trojans 4-3 in a non-league varsity baseball game Monday in Santa Rosa.
Losing pitcher Zef Roofener struck out seven in five innings for the Trojans (6-5).
Lower Lake scored single runs in the third, sixth and seventh innings. The Trojans had the tying run at third base with two outs in the seventh when Josh McCarty hit a hard grounder off the pitcher”s glove. The ball ricocheted to the Elsie Allen second baseman, who threw on to first to record the final out.

Lower Lake hosts Kelseyville today at 4 p.m.
