LOWER LAKE — Some of the best talent in Lower Lake High School boys” basketball history will be on display Saturday during an alumni game matching stars of the 1990s against stars of the standout 2003-05 Trojan teams.

The game tips off following the conclusion of a girls” alumni game, which begins at 5 p.m. at the new Lower Lake High School gym, quite the upgrade from the old Carl Deglado Gymnasium most of these Lower Lake alum starred in during the high school days.

The high-powered lineup for the boys” 2003-05 squads includes such names as Vince Alderman, Eric Freeman, Kevin Freeman, Joseph Noel and Donald Miller. Among the stars on the 1990s squad are Justin Downard, Mike Lujan and Mike Van diver.

Alderman, a four-year varsity starter, ranks third on the county”s all-time scoring list at 1,672 points.

Entry to the game is $5 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and younger.

A concession stand will be open during the games, there will be a 50/50 raffle (anyone bringing a child to the game gets a free raffle ticket), and a half-court shot competition during halftime of the boys” game. For $2 you get a shot from half-court and anyone making it gets a free pizza.

All proceeds support Lower Lake High School basketball and the school”s sports programs.
