ST. HELENA — Tamara Rojas scored her first high school singles victory and the Clear Lake Cardinals beat St. Helena 3-2 for their first Coastal Mountain Conference tennis win of the season on Wednesday in St. Helena.

Rojas beat Gabe Thuma 6-1, 6-2 in third singles.

Clear Lake”s other wins came in second singles, where Kenny Henninger defeated Callie Flood 7-4, 7-6 (7-5), and in second doubles, where Faith Hornby and Serena Kacheros won 6-2, 6-1.

In other matches, Raul Rendon fell 6-0, 6-0 in first singles, and Nathan Harper and Bailey Elkington dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision in first doubles.

Clear Lake (1-5) hosts St. Helena today and Cloverdale on Friday in its final two CMC matches.
