LAKEPORT — Teena Rangel, 24, of Lakeport was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) Wednesday after running her vehicle off the roadway on Hopland Grade, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Officer Kory Reynolds said that Rangel was driving a 2002 Mercury Sable westbound on Highway 175 at around 5 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway. Rangel reportedly ran off the north shoulder and down a steep embankment. She sustained minor injuries to her forehead, right ankle and the left side of her rib cage.
Rangel was later arrested for DUI at Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
Reynolds said traffic control was in effect for approximately 15 while the vehicle was being recovered.
The incident remains under the investigation of Officer S. Curtis.
