LAKEPORT — One day after losing at home to Clear Lake by a 3-2 final score, the St. Helena Saints returned the favor, beating the Cardinals 3-2 in a Coastal Mountain Conference tennis match at Lakeport.
Clear Lake”s only wins came in third singles, where Tamara Rojas prevailed 6-4, 1-6, 6-4, and in second doubles, where the Saints forfeited.
In other action, Clear Lake”s Raul Rendon dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Ted Ulin in first singles, and St. Helena”s Alexander Pierce rallied past Kenny Henninger, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, in second singles.
In first doubles, Clear Lake”s Nathan Harper and Nick Dudley fell 6-2, 6-1.
Clear Lake hosts Cloverdale today in its final CMC match.
