LAKEPORT — Northern California Medical Associates (NCMA) Lakeport Cardiology is offering “Heart Smart,” a free heart screening and presentation, on May 2 at Lakeport Senior Community Center, located at 527 Konocti Ave. in Lakeport.
Screening be-gins at 8:30 a.m. Cardiovascular specialist Dr. Bradley T. Clair will make a presentation from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A portion of the presentation will be allotted for questions and answers.
The presentation will offer attendees a practical approach to transform heart health and well-being.
Clair practices in Lakeport. His specialty is cardiovascular disease, invasive cardiology, nuclear cardiology, pacemaker implants, and military medicine.
According to Clair, obtaining education about the latest research in heart health is the first step to incorporating healthy eating habits and activities into a person”s everyday lifestyle.
Clair completed his residency in internal medicine at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luje”s/MaNeal Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He went on to receive his fellowship in cardiology from Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
To ensure optimal accuracy in their cholesterol screening evaluation, it”s important that attendees do not eat anything past 10 p.m. the night before the test. Refreshments will be provided after the test.
