RENO — The Punishers Wrestling Club of Lower Lake was well represented last weekend at the World of Wrestling Championships in Reno.
More than 2,800 wrestlers from 42 states were present, including 10 Punishers.
Jonathan Fredrick-son was the top placer, capturing a third-place eagle trophy and a medal in the 43-pound, 8-and-under division. He ended up meeting teammate Bryan Gudino in the third-place match, winning a 4-2 decision.
Blake Fredrickson finished fifth in the 55-pound, 10-and-under division, posting a 3-2 record. He just missed a shot at qualifying for the finals, losing on a third-round pin in the semifinals. In the fifth-place match, Blake pinned Owen Rogers of Gooding, Idaho, in the first round.
Isaiah Rubio added a sixth-place finish in the 46-pound, 6-and-under division, going 3-3 in the tournament.
