WOODLAND — Fifteen members of the Punisher Wrestling Club of Lower Lake brought home 22 medals, half of them firsts, during a freestyle and Greco Roman tournament last weekend at Woodland High School.
More than 400 wrestlers took part.
In freestyle competition, firsts went to Jayden Roath in the 40-pound rookie division; Austin Fredrickson in the 45-pound bantam division; Bryan Ramos in the 45-pound intermediate division; Joseph Hughes in the 85-pound bantam division; Nick Meyer in the 87-pound intermediate division; and J.J. Cushman in the 90-pound intermediate division.
Seconds went to Jonathan Fredrickson in the 45-pound intermediate division; to Blake Schuster in the 75-pound intermediate division; Nick Perazzo in the 135-pound schoolboy division; and Blake Fredrickson in the 60-pound novice division.
Skyler Day claimed a third-place medal in the 50-pound bantam division.
In the Greco-Roman competition, firsts went to Austin Fredrickson, Ramos, Cushman, Blake Fredrickson and Tommy Cade.
Second-place medals went to Mason Roath, Jonathan Fredrickson, Schuster and Meyer.
Third-place medals went to Day and Zach Bartley.
