LOCH LOMOND — South Lake County Fire Protection District (SLCFPD), in cooperation with CAL FIRE, responded early Tuesday morning to the 12200 block of Shen Road in Loch Lomond for a wildland fire. Units were dispatched at 1:55 a.m. and the fire was considered contained at 6:23 a.m.
About five acres were consumed by the fire, according to SLCFPD Battalion Chief Scott Upton.
“A tree went down about 12:30 p.m. taking power lines with it,” Upton said. “We got the call at about 1:55 a.m. and remained on scene throughout the night.”
Response was rendered with three engines, a water tender, chief officer and 36 firefighters plus two hand crews. PG&E also responded to attend to the downed power line.
