LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Cheating Daylight, an award-winning group from Northern California, is hitting the road throughout the year, as its “All We Know … Tour 2012” kicked off in Las Vegas, Nev. on April 27.
The band is comprised of two sets of brothers: Jesse Crosson, 17, Kyle Crosson, 15, and Jaden Crosson, 13, from Vacaville along with Jacob Gill, 17, and Connor Gill, 13, from Middletown.
The band”s inaugural outing includes local dates at Cobbstock on June 9, Concerts in Library Park in Lakeport on July 20 and the Sonoma County Fair in Santa Rosa on Aug. 10.
Cheating Daylight with special guest, Matt Weiss, will also return to Lakeport at the Soper Reese Community Theatre on Aug. 25.
The 40-date tour continues throughout 2012, with additional prominent stops in Palm Springs, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Las Vegas and Hollywood. “All We Know,” the new debut album from Cheating Daylight, is currently available in stores and on Internet music portals. The record is produced by industry veteran Isha Erskine, whose musical career includes projects with Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, Black Eyed Peas, Joss Stone and Macy Gray.
The 22nd annual Los Angeles Music Awards also announced a “2012 Rock Album of the Year” nomination for the new record, to go along with the band”s two previous nominations as “2012 Rock Artist of the Year” and “2012 Showcase Artist of the Year.” The red carpet awards show, will be held Nov. 15 at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood.
These recent nominations come on the heels of an award-winning 2011 campaign, by the teenage “band of brothers.” The pop/rock quintet was named the 2011 Power Pop “Band of the Year” at the 2011 Los Angeles Music Awards, while also receiving nominations for “Rock Artist of the Year” and “Pop Artist of the Year” at the All Indie Music Awards.
Rainbo Records also selected Cheating Daylight”s song, “Photographs Don”t Lie,” from 100,000 submissions by artists worldwide, to appear on its “Best of 2011” compilation CD.
