MIDDLETOWN — The Lake Transit Authority (LTA) will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Calpine”s Cartwright Geothermal Visitors Center, located at 15500 Central Park Road in Middletown.

A carpool van is available for members of the LTA. Members of the public may ride along on a space-available basis. The van leaves at 7:45 a.m. from the north side of the Safeway parking lot in Lakeport and at 8:30 a.m. from the Lamkin-Sanchez Operations Center in Lower Lake.

According to Lake Transit General Manager Mark Wall, Route 3 to Middletown offers another option for travel. Route 3 departs at 7:55 a.m. from Ray”s Food Place in Clearlake and arrives in Middletown at 8:21 a.m. Return schedules depart at 12:19 and 3:11 p.m.

Items on the agenda include a Yuba College Clear Lake Campus bus stop proposal and a memorandum of understanding with Lake County concerning a Mount Konocti tour service.

The Lake County/City Area Planning Council (APC) meets at 8:30 a.m. or as soon thereafter the LTA adjourns. Items on the agenda include a survey that will be taken of Lake County residents on a possible transportation sales tax for rehabilitation of Lake County roads.
