LUCERNE — Three people were transported to the hospital Tuesday night following a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

The collision occurred at Highway 20 and Oak Crest Avenue at approximately 8:45 p.m., according to Officer Erica Coddington of the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Jolyn Jennifer Johnson, 31, of Lucerne was driving her 2004 Infiniti G35 eastbound on Highway 20 and slowed to turn left onto Oak Crest Avenue.

Bobby Glen Hendry Jr., 33, of Orland was driving his 2003 Harley Davidson westbound on Highway 20 with passenger Terra Noel England, 24, of Orland.

Johnson made a left turn directly into the path of the motorcycle, according to Coddington. Hendry was not able to avoid the collision and the right front of the Infiniti struck the front of the Harley Davidson. The impact ejected Hendry and England into the westbound lane of Highway 20, according to Coddington.

Hendry sustained a laceration to his left knee, some abrasions and lost consciousness. England sustained a broken right arm and complained of pain in her left leg and hip. Hendry and England were airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Johnson complained of pain in her neck and back and was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital by Northshore Fire Protection District ambulance. Johnson was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
