KELSEYVILLE — Jonathan Villarreal”s two-out RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning provided the Kelseyville Knights with a walk-off 8-7 victory over the Clear Lake Cardinals in a North Central League I junior varsity baseball game on Tuesday in Kelseyville.
In a back-and-forth game that was tied 7-7 going to the bottom of the seventh, Victor Perez singled with two outs, moved to second on a passed ball and scored on Villarreal”s game-winning hit to left field.
Dasaan Vasquez went 4-for-4 for the Knights (5-5 league, 7-6 overall) and Preston Herdt went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
The winning pitcher was Josh Surber in relief.
Cole Brodnansky went 3-for-3 for Clear Lake.
