LAKEPORT — A judge Friday dismissed the sexual assault case against three Lake County men who were arrested in early October.
Lee Ridgel Guerrero, 21, Ajai Raheam Rodgers, 23, and Isaiah Reyhan Rodgers, 26, denied any wrongdoing, pleading not guilty to the three felony charges against them.
The Lakeport Police Department arrested the three men on Oct. 7 after a woman alleged being held down by all three men and being sexually assaulted by at least one of them.
The Honorable Vincent T. Lechowick dismissed the case at the prosecution”s request Friday morning at the Lake County Courthouse, according to deputy district attorney Ed Borg.
Borg indicated the alleged victim was supposed to testify during the preliminary hearing in the case but moved away from the area and did not return phone calls from the DA”s Office.
“She was reluctantly cooperative with us, but we basically lost touch with her,” Borg said. “We haven”t been able to contact her and get her into court.”
