KELSEYVILLE –Vanessa Tullos homered for the second game in a row and Kelcie Reynolds went 3-for-3 with two doubles and five RBI as the Clear Lake Cardinals clinched a tie for the North Central League I softball championship with a 15-3 victory over the Kelseyville Knights on Tuesday in Kelseyville.
Clear Lake (13-0 league, 18-2 overall) can win the outright championship by beating Cloverdale (10-1) on Thursday in Lakeport.
Tullos went 3-for-4, falling a double shy of the cycle. Her two-run home run was the big blow during a six-run sixth inning as the Cardinals moved out to a 15-3 lead. The game was called because of the 10-run rule after Kelseyville (4-8, 7-10) failed to score in the bottom of the inning.
Kelseyville briefly took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the third, scoring three times in the inning to wipe out a 2-0 Clear Lake lead. The Cardinals answered with seven runs in the top of the fourth and never looked back.
Lyon went 2-for-3 with a RBI and Jennifer Green went 2-for-3 for Kelseyville.

Lower Lake 12, Middletown 2
At Middletown, the Lower Lake Trojans closed out a 7-7 league campaign with a win over Middletown. Lower Lake went 13-9 in coach Chris Emberson”s first year, the Trojans” first winning season since 1993.
Adrina Miller went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI for Lower Lake and Savannah Koch and Nicole Spooner added two hits apiece.
Lower Lake will apply for an at-large berth in the sectional playoffs.
Cheyanne Horvath went 2-for-3 for Mid-dletown (2-10, 5-16).
which still has games remaining today at home against Kelseyville and Friday at home against Cloverdale.
