LAKE COUNTY — Westamerica Bank is holding a month-long fundraiser for the Lake County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Donations are being accepted at all five Westamerica Bank branches. Donations reported this week include:

? Anonymous: “In memory of Friskie” — Cat toys.

? Westamerica Bank, Middletown branch — $50.

? Buckwheat Atkinson — $25.

? Tammy Koelling and Cathy Brenton: “Puppies and kitties will love it. We have a new kitten and are enjoying him” — Brushes, balls, dog and cat toys, shampoo, conditioner and eye cleaner.

? David and Monica Rosenthal: “In memory of Brandy, Tina and Calvin” — $50.

? Rosemary Erickson: “In memory of Donna Girl” — $25.

? Erick Ruppe: “For Heidi, Molly, Mick, Ginger, Yogi, Corbie, Tsena” — $100.

Photos are being displayed of animals in need of homes. The Kelseyville branch reported that two dogs and three cats have been adopted so far.

Pet food, accessories and/or money will be accepted.

Donations may be made on behalf of a loved or deceased pet and will be published in a similar manner as the annual Lake County Christmas Fund. For more information, contact the Kelseyville branch of Westamerica Bank at 279-6850.
