UPDATED:

In a recent letter to the editor titled “Not United” published in the Record-Bee on Saturday,?the writer expressed his personal opinion that the Republican membership base hails from red states, which boast the worst education systems, lowest working class pay, worst drivers and the highest rate of bigotry in the nation.

Ironically, the writer seems to be describing the once golden, now bankrupt state of California led for many years by liberal Democrats. California now seems to excel at incarceration and fails at education.

As a conservative Libertarian who votes Republican, I personally like to dwell within the thought process of the opposition. This allows me to better understand different points of view and in the long run hopefully to better refine my own.

I have close relatives and good friends who are Democrats and we simply agree to disagree, always learning from each other.??

The writer”s attacks on Mitt Romney for his faith are closed-minded and based upon a clear lack of knowledge. For it is the lack of knowledge which tends to divide and fails to unite.

My meager singular vote is guaranteed to Mr. Romney simply based upon Barrack Hussein Obama”s embarrassing failure to lead this country.??

Maybe after November Mr. Obama could either attempt to regain his license to practice law in Illinois?or just continue to parade around the country speaking?much like?the impeached Bill Clinton.??
