MIDDLETOWN — The Middletown Pool opens for the season on Wednesday, the Lake County Public Services Department announced.

The facility, located at 20962 Big Canyon Road, will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. through Aug. 12. Hours may adjust to accommodate attendance.

Two Lake County residents were hired as lifeguards for the season.

Pool users 10 years old and younger must be accompanied by someone 15 years of age or older.

Pool fees are $1.25 for children 12 years old and younger, and $2 for people 13 and older. Season passes cost $40 and family passes (for immediate family members only) are $80.

Hardester”s Market in Middletown agreed to donate free swim passes for children 12 and younger. Passes can be picked up at the store. Hardester”s has donated $36,958.50 in free pool passes to Middletown youth since 1988, according to Public Services.
