LAKE COUNTY — Lake County Theater Company is holding auditions for “The Cemetery Club” by Ivan Menchell, a comedy about the coping skills of three women after their husbands have died.
The auditions take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. today in Weaver Auditorium at the Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Lakeport Senior Activity Center, located at 527 Konocti Ave.
The women meet once a month for tea and then go to the cemetery to clean up their husbands” graves. The story also focuses upon what happens between visits.
There are parts for four women and one man. The characters are in their late 50s to early 60s.
