CLEARLAKE — A 17-year-old Clearlake boy is listed as a missing person following a failed attempt to locate him Thursday. The boy was last seen playing in the water along the shores of Clear Lake in the Clearlake Park area.
According to Clearlake Police Sgt. Rodd Joseph, the boy, who is developmentally disabled, was playing in the water at Rocky Beach. The beach is located in Oak Cove along Lakeshore Drive in Clearlake Park. Joseph said the boy”s family and friends lost sight of him around 4 p.m.
Lake County Sheriff”s Boat Patrol joined the search. At 4:54 p.m. the search continued. “We are just going to keep searching the shoreline,” Joseph said. “At this point we have taken a missing person”s report.”
The boy was last seen wearing black and white, checkered board-shorts and no shirt. He is described as black, 6-feet 3-inches tall weighing 200 pounds with short dark hair.
