LAKEPORT — Sponsoring Survivorship”s 17th annual walk/run takes place Oct. 6.
Participants are encouraged make a difference as they celebrate survivorship, honor those who have lost their battle against breast cancer and help raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life-threatening disease.
Sponsoring Survivorship is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization dedicated to helping women and men of Lake County with their struggle against breast cancer.
Since its inception, Sponsoring Survivorship has played a role in assisting people with some of the costs incurred as a result of their breast cancer.
The walk/run is an annual event that is held every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Lake County residents are encouraged to get involved as sponsors or participants.
