CLEARLAKE — The Lakeshore Lions Club of Clearlake is sponsoring its 55th annual Redbud Parade and Festival on June 30. The theme of this year”s parade is “At the Movies.”

The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Redbud Park and proceed down Lakeshore Drive to Austin Park.

The procession will feature Lake County marchers, kinetic contraptions, decorated floats, vintage cars, parade and show horses, fire and police vehicles and much more.

At Austin Park the Lakeshore Lions and Lakeshore Lioness will feature an assortment of food, cold drinks and beer.

Also featured are the 12th annual Show and Shine Car Show, arts and craft vendors, games and entertainment for all. The Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the International Worm Races.

The Lions Club has taken on the responsibility of providing the evening”s fireworks display. Donations are currently being sought. For donation information call Fireworks Chairman Bob Kiel at 994-9752.

Free parking will be available at Haverty Field.

Anyone who desires to enter the parade can pick up an entry form at the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, Bob”s Vacuum, Clearlake Automotive and Kevin Ness Jewelers.

Any and all arts and craft vendors interested in booths should call Kiel at 994-9752. For information needed for the parade, call Parade Chairman Ray Bridges at 994-3070; and for the car show, call Kevin Ness at 994-2307.
