LAKEPORT — The jury for Paul William Braden has reached a verdict, which will be read at 1:30 p.m. today.

Braden, 22, was one of two men who stood trial charged with 15 felonies — including one murder count and five counts of attempted murder — and more than 30 special allegations in connection with a fatal shooting in Clearlake last spring.

Braden and co-defendant Orlando Joseph Lopez Jr., 24, both of Clearlake Oaks, denied all accusations.

A separate jury found Lopez guilty of all counts and special allegations after deliberating for nearly four hours on Friday.

The Braden jury received final instructions midmorning Tuesday and deliberated for more than five hours during the past two days.

Monday was the one-year anniversary of the late-night shooting that left 4-year-old Skyler Rapp dead and five other people injured.

The dual-jury trial spanned most of the calendar year, with jury selection beginning in late January and testimony starting Feb. 29.
