CLEARLAKE — The 45th annual International Worm Races are June 30 at Austin Park in Clearlake following the parade.
More than 300 racers participated in the worm races a year ago and a larger turnout is expected this year. You can bring your own worm of rent one from the famed stables of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce. Winners will be crowned in three categories – age 6 and under, 7-14, and 15 and over. Winners will receive cash prizes and trophies.
Other fun activities include face painting for $1.
The worm races are part of the Independence Day celebration.
