LAKE COUNTY — Independence Day celebrations that are planned around Lake County include:
June 30
CLEARLAKE — The Redbud Parade starts at 11 a.m. at Redbud Park in Clearlake and proceeds down Lakeshore Drive to Austin Park. Parade entry forms are available at the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, Bob”s Vacuum, Clearlake Automotive and Kevin Ness Jewelers.
The festival at Austin Park includes the 12th annual Show and Shine Car Show, food and drink, arts and craft vendors, games, entertainment, the International Worm Races and the evening”s fireworks display. Free parking will be available at Haverty Field.

July 4
CLEARLAKE OAKS — The Keys Club holds its 19th annual boat parade on July 4. Boats will start to line up at 9:30 a.m. in the bay at the entrance to the Keys. The parade starts at 10 a.m.
To enter in advance, call call Irma Rivera at 998-1995 or Barbara Higman at 998-4801. Registration will also be accepted on the day of the parade.
Prizes will be awarded in first through fourth place during the the Clearlake Keys Club barbecue and pool party, taking place from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. There will be live music by John Z.
LAKEPORT — The Lakeport Fourth of July celebration takes place at Library Park. Street faire vendors should contact the Lakeport Main Street Association at 263-8843. The Lakeport Yacht Club hosts the Duct Tape Regatta at 11 a.m. For information, contact 279-9100. Fireworks will be launched at dusk.
CLEARLAKE OAKS — Clearlake Oaks/Glenhaven Business Association will launch the Maxine Sherman memorial fireworks display at dusk off the Clearlake Oaks boat launch area.
