UPDATED:

How did we get to this point? How did we end up with our communities and county being overrun with pot farmers?

For 10 years, I lived in a town that was and still is, being abused by pot farmers.

But of course it”s all done under the disguise of being legal.

Yes, the pot farmers have paid for a medical marijuana card ? for themselves, their friends, their family members and anyone else who can come up with the $300 fee.

Funny thing, when I go to my doctor, I don”t have to pay him to write me a prescription. The unprofessionals who write these paid-for-profit prescriptions should be removed from practice.

The terms “legal,” “patient medicine,” and “compassionate care” have all been used out of context to try to legitimize pot farmers” legal practices.

There is nothing legal about pot farmers” illegal habits. How dare they use the term “legal.”

Add to this all the other dark elements of pot farming, such as the abuse and lying used to acquire rental property when the intention is to grow marijuana illegally in someone”s home without their consent.

The damage caused is enormous, from electrical overloads causing fires to the stench and odor that lingers and is difficult to eliminate.

Other problems created by pot farming include the blatant disregard and disrespect for our right to use our federal lands to hike, walk or trail ride.

I have had gun shots fired over my head while trail riding my horse in Mendocino National Forest.

I”ve had neighbors chased out of their favorite hunting spot by weapon-wielding pot farmers.

I”ve seen disgruntled growers use assault and attempted murder to resolve their conflicts among each other and among their illegal immigrant workers. Disrespect for the law is rampant; disregard for property grotesque; lying and manipulating the system is the norm.

How can any of this be considered legal? Pot farming is a quick buck, a profitable way of making ends meet.

I am not opposed to a valid patients need, where marijuana as medicine for cancer, HIV, etc. is useful.

Marijuana can have medical value in the hands of a legitimate doctor and patient. Pot farming has become a trend. It”s better than having a 9-to-5 job, right?

It”s time the community addresses this lawlessness.

It”s time we address the absence of any cohesive, common purpose that pot farming in its present, greedy form serves.

It”s time we face this burdensome chaos. It”s time we take a stand, have a voice and make a difference.

Do something, because evil will continue to reign when good men do nothing.
