Escape, quick capture

MISS: A man who was handcuffed on suspicion of attempted murder was able to escape custody late at night on June 22.

HIT: The man, identified as Raymond Casillas, was found at a home in Windsor the next day and transported back to Lake County.

HIT: Lakeport Police Chief Brad Rasmussen took immediate action to alert all media in order to alert the public about the escaped suspect.

Citizens involved

HIT: Hundreds turn out Tuesday for a BOS discussion on a interim medical marijuana cultivation ordinance at the Lake County Courthouse.

MISS: The large number of people presented a potential safety hazard, which caused the BOS to reschedule the discussion for July 9.

Confidence lost?

MISS: The BOS made a motion that was seconded to issue a vote of no confidence against Sheriff Frank Rivero Tuesday. The item will be discussed July 10.

MISS: Rivero accused BOS Chair Rob Brown, who made the motion, of having a personal vendetta against him.
