CLEARLAKE — A Clearlake man was arrested Sunday after allegedly shooting a firearm at two of his roommates. Kenneth Johnson, 44, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm and booked into Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.

According to Clearlake Police Sgt. Tim Hobbs, police response was requested on the 13500 block of Arrowhead Road at approximately 4:50 p.m. Sunday. Officers discovered the two victims, Scott Anderson, 47, and Jane Robinson, 61, left the residence and were at the home next door. Neither victim was injured.

Officers were told that Johnson was still inside the residence and he was armed with a shotgun. Hobbs said a perimeter was established around the home. The road in front of the residence was closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Hobbs said following 30 minutes of failed attempts to get Johnson to surrender, officers along with a K9 entered the home. Johnson was in a bedroom and surrendered without resistance when he saw the K9.
