MOUNT SHASTA — Lakeport attorney Bill Kranz, an avid golfer for 55 years, collected his first hole-in-one June 27 while playing the par-3 17th hole at the Mount Shasta Resort golf course in Mount Shasta.
Kranz aced the 120-yard hole with a 9-iron shot that cleared a small lake on its way to the pin.
Tom Salie of Kelseyville, Ron Man-kins of Medford, Ore-gon, and Ken Lindner of Lincoln witnessed the hole-in-one.
