LAKEPORT — A truck rolled over in the median on Highway 29 just north of the 11th Street exit Wednesday afternoon.
The driver, who was not identified because he is a minor, was heading northbound between 65 and 70 mph in an early-1990s model Ford Ranger with all of the windows down around 3:10 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Nick Powell.
The driver said something flew into the truck cabin through the back window, which distracted him, according to Powell. The truck drifted into the median and overturned, landing partially in the left southbound lane of Highway 29.
Powell said the driver, who was the sole occupant, was not injured and drugs and alcohol were not considered a factor.
