The health care industry doesn”t understand our costs.

The people: I can”t afford health care. The pharmaceuticals: Ask your doctor if this is right for you. The people: My insurance doesn”t cover it. The doctor: Just take the pill. The patient: But what about the side effects? The opposition party: The President is bad. The incumbent: Trust me. The people: The Congress is corrupt. The Congress: We”re doing what the voters told us to do. The court: We just interpret. The people: There is no justice. The corporations: We”ve got to protect our shareholders. The people: Corporations are bad. The banks: We”re too big to fail. The people: Why bail them out with our money? The 99 percent: Rich people don”t pay their share. The 1 percent: We”re the ones who create the jobs. The middle-class: Did someone call? The people: You”ll hear from our lawyer. The lawyer: I am your lawyer. The right: Ship everybody back to wherever they came from. The left: Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses. We”ll leave the light on for you. The birthers: He”s not an American. The church: We”re all God”s children. The congregation: Is it Sunday yet? The homophobes: Gay people should be put behind barbed wire. The gays: Why can”t we just be us? The people: What about us? The states: What about our rights? The schools: We don”t have the money. The students: We can”t afford college. The colleges: We need more money. The government: We need more money. The people: Don”t look at us. The past: I told you so. The future: I wish I knew then. The present: I wish I knew now.
