YUBA CITY — The Westshore Little League All-Stars concluded a 10-day run at the District II All-Star Tournament in Yuba City with a five-inning, 11-1 loss to Marysville on Monday.
Westshore”s All-Stars posted a 3-2 record in the double-elimination tournament. They opened play June 30 with a 14-4, five-inning factory over Colusa and came back on July 1 to beat Westside 6-4 in seven innings.
After a brief break, the Westshore All-Stars dropped an 11-8 decision to North Yuba. They bounced back Sunday evening with a thrilling 14-12 victory over Sutter Area in nine innings, breaking a 12-12 tie with two runs in the ninth. They left the ballfield at midnight and had to come back Monday to take on Marysville.
