A group of drivers avoided a near disaster when the driver of a bright red sports car, possibly a Corvette model, crossed over the double lines.
The car approached us going around the curves heading north as I was heading south and nearly hitting us head-on, on Spring Valley Road on July 3 at approximately 7 p.m.
If it were not for the driver of the vehicle this person passed who pulled over, we would have been a Fourth of July statistic.
This person nearly sacrificed all of our lives and our families.
Fortunately, I was going five miles slower than the posted 45 mph, which the other driver was speeding way over.
I don”t know who this person is, but we do know the person was driving a bright red sport car.
Hopefully this person”s neighbors and perhaps the police will give a little more scrutiny if they happen to see this person driving. This person”s actions endanger county drivers as well as visitors to Lake County.
If the other people involved in this incident read this, perhaps we can verify each others stories and sign a citizen”s complaint.
