CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police Department is searching for four unidentified black men in connection with an alleged home invasion robbery, assault and kidnapping that occurred early Tuesday morning.
The men were last seen wearing ski masks and driving a white four-door vehicle.
A silver-colored handgun was allegedly used in the assault. No other suspect information is available.
According to Clearlake Police Sgt. Rodd Joseph, officers responded to a report of a possible home invasion robbery, assault and kidnapping at 2:21 a.m. The alleged incident occurred sometime earlier at a?home located on the 15800 block of 45th Ave.
Joseph said?a woman reported the alleged crime?saying she was kidnapped from the home at gunpoint. She said she was assaulted and released by the suspects.?She said a man was also kidnapped and his whereabouts were unknown.
According to Joseph, officers viewed evidence at the scene?that corroborated the statements. Evidence led officers to another?home on the 15400 block of Tana Street . Additional evidence was discovered at that residence that police said?indicated another possible kidnapping and assault also took place at the home by the same suspects.
CPD detectives then investigated the incident. The man allegedly taken from the 45th Avenue home and the man allegedly taken from the Tana Street home were located at another residence in Clearlake.
The identities and? identifying information?about the three victims is not being released at this time. Joseph said two of the victims sustained injuries that required medical treatment.
Both residences are secured pending the issuance of search warrants.
