LAKE COUNTY — A Kelseyville High School graduate will appear on national television.
Brandon Nutt, 33, is the owner of Nutt Construction. He was filmed earlier this year for his company”s guest appearances on two Bath Crashers episodes that will be aired on the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Network.
This is Nutt Construction”s television debut. Nutt is expressing interest in continuing to work on television shows in the future.
“I would definitely work with another program in the future, it”s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a great way to meet new people and new friends, and hopefully get some great advertising for my company,” Nutt said.
Nutt”s company is featured remodeling residential bathrooms. However, this is only a small portion of the work the company typically does. The company specializes in bathroom and kitchen remodeling as well as additions and woodworking ? occasionally taking on large building projects.
According to Nutt, the company recently finished building a custom home that is about 3,200 square feet. Nutt designed and drafted the home.
Nutt is based in Franklin, Tenn.
He started Nutt Construction in Kelseyville in 2004.
In 2007 Nutt and his wife decided to move their family and Nutt Construction to Tennessee.
“We love Tennessee and all that it offers us ? I have traveled to about half of the states in our country and there is no other place I have been that I would want to call home for my business and my family,” Nutt said.
Another reason the Nutt family moved to Tennessee was to pursue an offer Nutt received to attend Nashville school of Biblical Studies, where he was able to attend free of tuition charges.
Nutt attributes much of his success to God. “In the Bible, it is written in Philippians 4:13, ?I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength,” so I attribute my success to my creator. I am thankful for the skills and talents that I have been given,” Nutt said.
Nutt”s family visits Lake County relatives about once a year. He said Lake County holds many great memories for him, but he has no intention at this time of returning to Lake County to live.
Nutt said he”s thankful for the support from his friends and family, especially Laura, his wife of 13 years and to Bruce Dokken Construction, Karl Shaul Construction in Lakeport and to Grassi Construction in Napa, where he was encouraged to pursue his career in building during the 1990s.
The first episode of Bath Crashers featuring Nutt Construction is scheduled to air Friday night on the DIY Network. The second appearance will air later in the summer or early fall. Check local listings for dates and times or for more information visit www.nuttconstruction.com.
