MAXWELL — Fire crews Thursday are close to full containment of the Sites Complex fire in Colusa County.

Crews attained 90-percent completion of the 4,185-acre fire, which began Sunday. CAL FIRE officials indicated the fire should be 100-percent contained Friday. Four minor injures were reported, though not specified. No structures were destroyed by the fire.

A total of 712 personnel from 24 fire crews are still fighting the fire, utilizing 37 fire engines, four bulldozers and one helicopter. About a dozen agencies are cooperating to fight the blaze.

High temperatures and low humidity continued Thursday, though cooler weather is expected today. Fire personnel and equipment will remain in the area for several days, according to CAL FIRE.

Sites-Lodoga Road is now open to the public, though caution is urged when using the road because of the presence of fire personnel and equipment.
