CLEARLAKE — Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific opened its newly located health center Thursday at 14671 Olympic Drive in Clearlake. The new, larger facility will allow Planned Parenthood to provide a full-range of comprehensive reproductive health servicing including birth control, breast and cervical cancer screening, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and treatment, HIV testing, emergency contraception, among other health services including those for men.
“Our new health center is spacious and comfortable and was built-out to provide our clients the best possible care,” Heather Estes, Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific president and CEO, said. “We are pleased that with our new facility, we will be able to meet an increasing demand in Lake County for our essential health services.
Overseeing the center is Anne Rubin, a health manager with more than 12 years experience. “Lake County has been my home for a decade. I am thrilled to lead Planned Parenthood”s Clearlake health center and provide the confidential medical services all the people in our community can count on,” she said. “We also look forward to working with the community leaders and other health care providers to ensure all Lake County residents receive the health care they need to live healthy and productive lives.”
The Clearlake health center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Friday; and 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. To make an appointment, call 995-2261 or visit the website at www.plannedparenthood.org.
