MAXWELL — The Sites Complex fire in Colusa County is now fully contained. CAL FIRE officials Friday expect smoke to be visible within the control lines.
In all 4,185 burned acres since Sunday. The cause is under investigation. Four minor injuries were reported, though not specified.
A total of 712 personnel from 26 fire crews will remain in the area for several days for mop-up operations, utilizing 37 fire engines, six water tenders and four bulldozers.
Twelve outside agencies cooperated on fire operations, including the California Highway Patrol and the Bureau of Land Management.
Sites-Lodoga Road is now open. Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and to watch for fire personnel and equipment.
