When the state budget was approved it contained a provision that caused the suspension of the Brown Act for all covered entities except schools. (Probably where it is least necessary).
This action by the State Legislature demonstrates a great disregard for responsible behavior.
I suggest the proper response to this action would be for all entities covered by the Brown Act to issue a statement, noted in the minutes of a regular meeting, that they will continue to conduct all business in compliance with the Brown Act.
It is recommended that it would be in our best interest to make our disappointment with this action known to those who are able to correct this disservice.
We should all make an effort to be aware of actions that effect us and make that awareness known to those who are responsible.
