CLEARLAKE — Police responded to a reported rape scene Monday on Austin Drive in Clearlake at 9:39 p.m.
Clearlake Police Department (CPD) stated Tuesday night, during a welfare check, CPD found a woman in the parking lot of Ridgelake Apartments who alleged that she was forcibly and repeatedly raped.
According to CPD Sgt. Martin Snyder, a suspect in the same apartment complex, Eric Floyd, of Clearlake was arrested and charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance, sexual assault and rape.
Floyd was booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
