MIDDLETOWN — Second Saturday Transition Cinema will sceen “A Force More Powerful,” 3 p.m. Saturday at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church, located at 15833 Armstrong St. off Highway 29. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Sunday”s screening of “A Force More Powerful” is intended to honor the Summer of Peace. “A Force More Powerful” is a PBS documentary, narrated by Ben Kingsley, that demonstrates how non-violent resistance overcomes oppression and authoritarian rule.
Episode One shows Gandhi in India, black college students in Nashville and the movement against apartheid in South Africa. Discussion follows the screening.
