CLEARLAKE — Second Sunday Cinema will screen “Iron-Jawed Angels,” 6 p.m. Sunday at the Clearlake Community United Methodist Church, located at 14521 Pearl Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

“Iron-Jawed Angels” is a drama about the women suffragists who won the right to vote for American women one century ago. It stars Hilary Swank as Alice Paul, a key figure in the struggle, and Angelica Huston as an older, more conservative, woman in the same struggle.

Following the film, Lake County resident Jan Cook will share the history of her own relative and an early Lake County woman who were both present when the suffragists were arrested and taken to jail. For more information call Shannon at 889-7355.
