LAKE COUNTY — The Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association (AMIA), the group working to assure the continued operation of Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, will host an evening with singer-songwriter Rita Hosking, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at Soper Reese Community Theatre.
All proceeds from the concert will go directly toward the effort to keep Anderson Marsh State Historic Park open to the public. Hosking, along with other performers, are donating their time and talent for this event.
The concert features original music performed by Hosking, along with her husband, Sean Feder.
Hosking has been performing for years around the country at concerts and festivals, including the Kate Wolf Festival. She is a regional favorite of country, folk, and bluegrass followers.
Hosking performed at the Old Time Bluegrass Festival at Anderson Marsh State Park in 2011.
“Don”t miss this opportunity to hear first hand what many in the business have been calling the real deal,” AMIA board member Anna McAtee said.
Opening for Hosking will be local performers Uncorked, Three Deep and the Clearlake Clickers.
Tickets cost $25 and will be available soon at the Soper Reese Community Theatre box office.
The box office is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and for two hours before show time on the day of the event. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.soperreese theatre.com.
Tickets will also be available at the Travel Center, located at 1265 S. Main St. in Lakeport, and at the Lake County Chamber of Commerce visitor center, located at Vista Point, 875 Lakeport Blvd. in Lakeport.
