LAKEPORT — Friday is the deadline to file nomination papers to run for one of three Lakeport City Council seats up for election in November.
Four people — Councilman Bob Rumfelt, Councilwoman Suzanne Lyons, businessman Kenny Parlet and former Lakeport Planning Commissioner Marc Spillman — have filed so far.
Candidates have until 5 p.m. Friday to submit papers. In order to run, a person must be a city resident who is registered to vote.
