LAKE COUNTY — The band of brothers, Cheating Daylight, is burning daylight, keeping busy with multiple projects and opportunities.

In November, the band will attend at Sunset Sessions taking place at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

National radio station programmers, music supervisors from film, television, advertising, games, sports, major and independent record companies, artist managers, music publishers, press and booking agents will be attending.

The Sunset Sessions exposes industry professionals to promising musicians.

Recently Cheating Daylight caught the eye of Ted Cohen, a music industry veteran, former senior management for EMI, Warner Bros. and Phillips Media.

Impressed with the sound, he asked the band to perform at his Hollywood Hills home for a party.

Before the encore, lead vocalist, Kyle Crosson, asked the crowd if they wanted to hear an original song or a cover song. Cohen told him, “Play an original song. Pretty soon other bands will be covering you guys.”

Band members include: Jesse Crosson, 18, Kyle Crosson, 15, and Jaden Crosson, 13, from Vacaville, along with Jacob Gill, 17, and Connor Gill, 13, from Cobb.

Cheating Daylight will headline at the Soper Reese Community Theatre Aug. 25, along with special guests McKenna Faith, Matt Weiss and K-Town. Tickets are available at www.soperreesetheatre.com or www. cheatingdaylight.com.
