LAKEPORT — The second annual Cardinal Sports Night, a fundraiser for Clear Lake High School athletics, takes place Sept. 8 beginning at 6 p.m. in Phil Lewis Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport.
The CLHS Sports Foundation is sponsoring the event. All proceeds benefit the sports teams and sports facilities at Clear Lake High. Proceeds of other CLHS Sports Foundation fundraisers have been used to refurbish all of the buildings at Don Owens Stadium, buy a new scorer”s table for the gym, bring new bleacher seats to the baseball field, purchase new wall pads for the gym, fund junior varsity baseball, provide volleyball camp scholarships, help fund the swim team, buy football supplies, and secure a new high jump set for the track team.
Presale tickets to the event cost $25. Tickets at the door cost $30 for adults and $15 for students. Children 5 and under get in free. There will be a barbecue, live music, sports-themed games, silent and live auctions, a basket raffle and a coaches competition.
Tickets are available at Linda”s Hallmark, Strong Financial Network and Plaza Paints in Lakeport.
