SPRING VALLEY — A fire that broke out Aug. 10 inside a bedroom of a Spring Valley home was contained to the room through the quick efforts of neighbors.
The fire was reported about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 10, according to the Northshore Fire Protection District (NFPD). Neighbors were able to keep the fire from spreading by breaking the outside window and extinguishing much of the flames with garden hoses, according to NFPD.
Fire crews from NFPD, CAL FIRE and Lake County Fire Protection District arrived within 20 minutes. Approximately 14 personnel fully extinguished the fire and checked for hotspots.
