COBB — Blue Collar will appear with The California Honeydrops at Moore Family Winery at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Blue Collar, whose members include lead singer, guitar player and song writer Carl Stewart; violinist, mandolin player and vocalist Sue Condit; accordionist, banjo player, percussionist and vocalist Bill Bordisso; cellist Clovice Lewis and bassist Bill MacDougall, had entertained audiences in Lake and Mendocino Counties for the last two years until they had to take a year-long leave of absence because of a life-threatening illness that Stewart battled and won.
Now, with new songs and old favorites written by Stewart, Blue Collar is ready to once again treat Lake County to a blend of acoustic American roots music.
Blue Collar is opening for the five-member Oakland group The California Honeydrops.
Honeydrops, digging deep into the roots of American music, embraces the traditions of blues, gospel, second line New Orleans jazz and early R&B.
Saturday”s concert at the Moore Family Winery is the final concert in the summer series. Cost of admission is $10. See www.Moorefamilywinery.com for additional information.
