LAKEPORT — The varsity and junior varsity football teams at Clear Lake, Upper Lake and Middletown high schools meet in a round-robin scrimmage Friday night during the 18th annual Lake County Scrimmage at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport.
Kelseyville and Lower Lake dropped out of the event this year and held their own scrimmage last weekend in Kelseyville.
The entrance fee is $3, however, there is no dinner provided this year. As in past years, the varsity teams will scrimmage at the west end of Don Owens Stadium while the JV teams will scrimmage at the east end. Each school”s offense and defense gets 15 minutes (running clock) on the field against each of the other two teams (see schedule above). There are five-minute breaks between the 15-minute sets.
Refreshments will be available at the concession stand.
The CLHS Sports Foundation sponsors the event and all proceeds benefit Clear Lake High sports.
