LOWER LAKE — The 19th annual Quilt and Textile Exhibition in Weaver Auditorium, hosted by the Lower Lake Historical School Preservation Committee, is on display through Saturday.

The show is open during regular business hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Featured artists this year include the Clear Lake Quilt Guild, Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild, art quilter Julia Regina and weaver Sheila O”Hara and her students: Janis Eckert, Pam Perry, Suzanne Britz, Ellen Hardenburger, Hana Musgrove, Lorna Rochman-McEntire and Sylvia Anderson.

Antique quilts and an 1807 spinning wheel are also on display.

According to O”Hara, more than 70 people attended an artists” reception on Aug. 11. Attendees enjoyed viewing quilts and weavings. The reception also featured demonstrations of wool carding, spinning and weaving.
